Shopping center

Optimizing parking management to enhance the customer experience and maximize space value

In a shopping center, the parking lot is the first point of contact with the site. It can also be a source of constraints: heavy traffic during peak hours, the need for smooth circulation for customers, and the opportunity to monetize spaces during off-peak periods. LinkView helps shopping centers implement smarter, more flexible, and fully delegated parking access management.

Management is handled by the LinkView supervision center, so on-site teams are no longer required for day-to-day control tasks. Customers enjoy seamless access according to predefined rules (free parking time, opening hours, etc.), while the data collected helps refine parking operations.

Intelligent, delegated parking management

  • Apply flexible free-parking or pricing rules The LinkView system allows you to configure specific rules — for example: two or three free hours per license plate, followed by automatic billing beyond that. These rules adapt to your opening hours, customer profiles, or specific parking zones. No tickets or terminals to manage: everything is automated.

  • Monetize available spaces outside opening hours – During low-traffic periods or when the center is closed (evenings, Sundays, public holidays), you can grant access to selected parking zones for third parties: local residents, nearby businesses, or spectators attending nearby events. Management remains centralized, with no technical adjustments required on site.

  • Understand traffic flows and optimize usage – With data collected by LinkView, you can precisely identify peak hours, average parking durations, and frequently recurring license plates. Cross-referencing this information with your point-of-sale data provides deeper insights into visitor behavior, highlights discrepancies, and allows you to adjust your visitor strategies.

Examples of use: practical applications for daily operations

  • Configure automated free parking for customers – Want to offer three hours of free parking to all customers? A rule is configured: each license plate is recognized at entry, parking time is tracked, and free parking is automatically applied up to the defined limit.

  • Optimize parking use during off-hours – A shopping center located near a stadium wants to monetize unused spaces in the evening. Access is granted to a designated area of the parking lot during specific time slots. Authorized plates are managed through the LinkView platform, with no on-site intervention needed.

  • Analyze the impact of vehicle flows on store sales – LinkView provides dashboards showing peak parking times. By combining this data with cash register information, you can identify discrepancies between parking traffic and sales volumes — valuable insights to better understand visitor behavior.
